Global Communications recently signed a channel partner agreement with Nokia. Through this partnership, Global Communications will market, distribute and service Nokia’s product line of optical networking, IP routing, wireless access, fixed networks, video delivery, security, cloud and data centres.

7210 Service Access Switch

7250 Interconnect Router


The 7250 Interconnect Router (IXR) product line uses commercial silicon to deliver platforms that are an excellent fit for certain targeted applications. The 7250 IXR-6 and IXR-10 platforms target data centers and WANs in service provider, webscale and enterprise networks. They can also be used for aggregation in IP anyhaul. The 7250 IXR-R6 platform is designed to meet the requirements for IP anyhaul and mission critical applications.

7250 IXR platforms have advanced hardware and software features that differentiate them from their competition including EMI containment, efficient cooling, power supply, buffering and security. The product family runs the Service Router Operating System (SR OS) and is managed by the Nokia Network Services Platform (NSP) for seamless integration into Nokia transport networks.

7450 Ethernet Service Switch


The 7450 Ethernet Service Switch (ESS) family of Carrier Ethernet switch routers is designed to deliver high-performance MPLS-enabled carrier Ethernet services, including Business VPN/Internet access, data center, and cloud-based services. At the same time, it provides the ideal platform for metro Ethernet aggregation for fixed and mobile networks. For enterprise networking, it provides cloud, data center, and branch office connectivity.

Leveraging 400 Gb/s FP3 silicon technology, the 7450 ESS integrates the scalability, resiliency, and predictability of MPLS with the bandwidth economics of Ethernet to deliver enhanced business services and enable the metro aggregation of mobile, business, and residential services. Available in two chassis variants, the 7450 ESS supports comprehensive Ethernet, IP (IPv4/IPv6), MPLS, and Provider Backbone Bridging (PBB) networking with advanced resiliency and synchronization capabilities.

Furthermore, the 7450 ESS is Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) Carrier Ethernet (CE) 2.0 compliant, enabling the delivery of CE 2.0 certified services across all four MEF service types—E-LAN, E-Line, E-Tree, and E-Access.

As a member of the Service Router product portfolio, the 7450 ESS uses the Service Router Operating System (SR OS). It is managed by the 5620 Service Aware Manager (SAM) for seamless integration into our IP/MPLS solutions.

7705 Service Aggregation Router


The 7705 Service Aggregation Router (SAR) provides multiservice adaptation, aggregation and routing for Ethernet and IP/MPLS networks. Designed to facilitate legacy to packet transformation, the 7705 SAR is ideal for fixed and mobile operators seeking mobile backhaul solutions as well as for industries, enterprises and governments delivering legacy and advanced IP services.

The 7705 SAR is available in multiple compact platform variants that reduce equipment footprint and energy costs. 7950 Extensible Routing System
